Michael Mountain's Aussie visit blog

Michael Mountain (USA) is the President and one of the founders of Best Friends Animal Society. The internationally renowned Best Friends animal sanctuary in Angel Canyon Utah is the largest in the world. Supported by 250,000 Americans, the sanctuary is home to 1500 animals on any given day.

The shelter is on the edge of town, with forest land all round. As you drive up the road, there are signs like you might see back home warning you to watch out for deer. Only here, it’s kangaroos. Amy sees the sign and goes breathless. “Oh my, oh my Lord, do you think we’ll see a kangaroo??”
