Meet rescue pets this Saturday at Dogs and the City pet store

With most other pet shops looking forward to the Christmas rush on puppies and kittens, 'Dogs and the City' pet store in Double Bay has taken a stand against the impulse pet purchases that contribute to the hundreds of thousands of abandoned pets killed in shelters each year. Dogs and the City takes animal welfare seriously, refuses to sell these pets in store and, through a program of Rescue Adoption Days, will support rescue groups around NSW in their efforts to save pets.

DCH Animal Adoptions will be in attendance at the Dogs and the City store in Transvaal Avenue Double Bay on Saturday 19 December with rescue puppies and adult dogs available for adoption - members of the public are invited to meet and interact with the dogs and speak to DCH representatives about dog & cat rescue, foster care and other related initiatives.  There will also be an opportunity to donate much needed animal care-related items to DCH, which is a registered tax-deductible charity.

Dogs and the City will have 10% off on the Adoption Day

Dogs and the City is part of Give Pets a Chance an alliance of ethical pet stores - who refuse to support Australia's puppy farm industry.
