PetRescue says; "Thank you to PEDIGREE from the rescue dogs of Australia"

The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive 2009 has been a huge success in raising the awareness of homeless dogs in Australia.

'Echo' touched our hearts, first while she waited to find the perfect home, then again when she got to meet her new family.

Commuters across Melbourne and Sydney were surprised to find rescue dogs were loose in the CBD and every week dozens of rescue dogs got their five minutes of fame with colour adverts in the weekend paper to let people see some of the fantastic pets available for adoption.

Molly Meldrum adopted Ziggy #4, Shelly of Funniest Home Videos presented with an arm-full of pups and Before the Game's Lehmo showed off an array of perfect pooches from a beagle, through to a wolfhound. What a professional!

But most importantly, we've seen over 3,000 pets find new, loving forever homes thanks to this campaign.

The PEDIGREE Team has been absolutely amazing to work with; dedicated and genuinely 'for dogs'. They've walked their local pound dogs, they've promoted rescue to their friends and family, they have become foster carers and they have even adopted their own rescue pets.

With a special thanks to Ryan, Ben, Anne, Tim, Hazel and Kelly, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at PEDIGREE for their enormous efforts in making this campaign such a huge success for the rescue dogs of Australia.
