The Power of 'Puppy Love' - rescue flight saves mum and pups
Talk about doing 'whatever it takes'!
Three koolie mix breed puppies and their mother Patch were rescued interstate recently by small aircraft, championed by animal rescue shelter, Pets Haven.
The family of pooches were to be shot, had it not been for the quick thinking and kind spirit of Bianca and her family.
Bianca who lives in outback New South Wales took the dogs in upon hearing of their likely fate, and contacted Victorian shelter, Pets Haven, who in turn contacted Melanie - a Pets Haven volunteer who is also a Senior Flying Instructor!
Melanie and another Pets Haven volunteer - Tom, flew from Victoria to New South Wales to rescue the puppies and their mother who were in desperate need of veterinary care.
Just goes to show, when a community of rescuers pull together, anything can be achieved.
Well done Bianca & Family, Melanie & Tom, and Trish from Pets Haven - what a heartwarming good news story!
