RSPCA raids property already fined for animal offences
RSPCA inspectors have seized more than 400 animals after the third raid on a property near Townsville in north Queensland this year.
The RSPCA seized 600 animals from a property west of Townsville in July this year and charged a couple with 131 offences.
In court this month, Frederick Dart and Megan Hajridin were fined almost $80,000 and ordered not to own animals for trade for two years.
Less than two weeks later, Ms Hajridin was charged with contravening that order for allegedly attempting to sell puppies.
The RSPCA raided the property again last night and seized another 37 dogs and 400 rodents.
RSPCA chief inspector Michael Pecic says it is "very disappointing to find so many animals again living in those sort of conditions".
"The court did make a special condition that we can revisit the property," he said.
"I'll be ensuring that gets done quite regularly."
The RSPCA is considering what action to take.
