Bubbles - Number one in Mount Isa

Being number one is usually a good thing and Bubbles (pictured and available for adoption here) hopes that being number one in Mount Isa will mean he will have a second chance at a forever home.

Bubbles, as nicknamed by his foster family, is the first pet ever listed on PetRescue in the Mount Isa area.   When Bubbles was found, lost and wandering the the streets, a caring member of the public took him in.  After placing posters around town looking for his owners, she was completely surprised by a lack of response.  "Bubbles is a healthy desexed, incredibly affectionate cat, I just couldn't believe that no one was looking for him"

The next surprise was when Bubbles foster family sought help to find a permanent home for him.  Although these days Mt Isa is a booming town of over 21,000, there were no rescue or rehoming organisations listed in the area.  This means that for many healthy, happy, lost and abandoned pets, there is little to no chance of a loving family.

Bubbles may be the cat to help change all that.  As the first pet listed for rehoming with PetRescue we hope that Bubbles will not only find a new home, but inspire the Local Mt Isa community to become involved in rescue and help give a second chance to more unwanted pets.
