Film Fundraiser for Victorian Dog Rescue - Irish drama The Eclipse!

Victorian Dog Rescue (www.victoriandogrescue.org.au) is delighted to be holding an opening-night exclusive screening of spooky Irish drama The Eclipse on Thursday April 15 at the Brighton Bay cinema, Melbourne. Variety has called it ‘A film of seductive grace and humor’. Make a night of it, and bring your family and friends! The evening will also see the important launch of our new Hughie Special Dogs Fund, for abused and neglected dogs we save from death row in Victorian pounds. South West Animal Rescue - Walk for the Animals. Bunbury, WA

South West Animal Rescue - 2nd annual Walk for the Animals. Come down with your dog to the Big Swamp Wildlife Park in Bunbury and show your support for South West Animal Rescue and a purpose built animal shelter to be built in the Bunbury area. Sunday 18th April. Registrations between 8am and 9am. ($2 for individuals, $5 for families). At 9am we will hold a minute silence for all the healthy domestic animals that are euthanased in Australia each year. At 9.01 we will begin our walk around the Big Swamp. From 10am to 12, join us for a morning of raffles, enter into our pet parades and win prizes, Benotto Animal Management will again be wowing us with there amazing agility displays and much more. Skye the brilliant Border Collie will also be there. Check out our SWAR merchandise, and chat to our volunteers about how you can become a foster carer or volunteer. We are looking forward to lots of community support and sending out the message that the City of Bunbury needs an animal shelter. All proceeds from the day will go to South West Animal Rescue and the care of abandoned domestic animals in the Bunbury and surrounding areas. Read more...
