Bequests

While PetRescue doesn't have a formal bequests program, to include PetRescue in your will, we recommend that you use this wording:

After payment of all my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all duties, taxes and charges payable on my Estate at my death, I give to PetRescue Ltd:

1. My surviving pets; and,
2. [insert amount]% of my Estate for the general purposes of PetRescue Ltd;

OR

1. My surviving pets; and,
2. the residue of my Estate for the general purposes of PetRescue Ltd;

OR

1. My surviving pets; and,
2. the sum of $[insert amount] for the general purposes of PetRescue Ltd;

on the condition that my surviving pets be cared for. The gift will not fail if I do not own any pets at the time of my death. I declare that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer of the PetRescue Ltd will be sufficient discharge for my Trustees.

PetRescue will ensure that your pets are cared for by rescue until appropriately matched with a new family.
