100,000 PETS ADOPTED!

YOU HAVE HELPED 100,000 PETS FIND LOVING HOMES

We are proud to announce an incredible milestone for PetRescue — we have officially rehomed 100,000 pets across Australia.

Our Media Hound, Vickie Davy says, “Every homeless animal deserves the chance to find a new loving family and we are truly grateful for any assistance people and companies have provided. Without it, we would have never reached this great milestone of 100,000 adoptions.”

Our 100,000th adoptee is Mr Banks, a cat, from Sydney. He was found by a council ranger with no identification or microchip, so was taken to the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home. Speaking about her recent adoption, Pauline said, “My husband Peter and I have always had cats, and after our last cat passed away we were keen to adopt another. We used PetRescue to search for our new friend. After researching online several times, we kept coming back to this particular cat, and after visiting him at the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home we knew we had to take him home.”

It’s important to send the right messages out when we reach milestones like this.  Rescue animals make great household pets as they are generally house-trained, vaccinated and desexed – and more often than not, they are up for adoption through no fault of their own. This means that there is an abundance of happy, healthy animals across Australia waiting to be rehomed. Another myth is that rescue dogs are not purebreds. Lots of pets which are rescued came originally from show breeders, pet stores and hobby breeders.

We would like to thank you for your on going support and especially send a big thank you to the tireless efforts of rescue groups, animal-loving Australians and corporate partners such as PEDIGREE®.
