Australia wide Pedigree Adoption Drive
June 18 marks the launch of the Australia wide Pedigree Adoption Drive, funded through sales of Pedigree products, aimed at ensuring more shelter dogs have the opportunity of a second chance at a healthy and fulfilling life.
The promotion is facilitated via an extensive media campaign incorporating eight weeks of advertising and promotion on Channel 7’s Sunrise program which reaches 700,000 homes daily, six weeks full page advertorials in New Idea magazine and a dedicated website which features on the Yahoo.7 homepage.
The project is enjoying strong celebrity backing with Australian Olympic swimmer Libby Lenton coming on board as the official Ambassador. Libby recently adopted Bella from the Queensland Animal Welfare League and is now a firm believer that adopting a shelter dog is one of the most rewarding, heartwarming and responsible things a person can do. Additional support is provided by television star Giaan Rooney, radio personality Bianca Dye and former basketball star, Andrew Gaze.
